Abbas-Mustan's Digital Film, Penthouse Starring Arjun Rampal And Bobby Deol Is A Remake Of A Belgian Film Titled The Loft
As per reports Abbas-Mustan’s digital venture titled Penthouse, is a Belgian film, The Loft’s remake
Filmmakers duo Abbas-Mustan web debut with the digital film, Penthouse went on floors in November 2020 and now as the film has been wrapped a few weeks ago, Peepingmoon reveals the deets about the movie. As per reports in the said portal this flick is recreation of a Belgian film titled, The Loft that released in 2014. Directed by Erik Van Looy, this movie is an erotic thriller narrating a tale of five married men who own a penthouse and in order to meet their mistresses.
But this fantasy tale turns into a thriller after they discover a dead body in the loft in the penthouse, giving everyone a nightmare. Followed by the film, unwinding in flashbacks; also this film is a remake of a 2008 Dutch-language film. The source says, “The theme of The Loft is universal. Swinging-dick businessmen cheating on their wives translates to any culture. Abbas-Mustan has adapted the Belgium film to the Indian context with a slight change in the plot twist to keep the mystery intact even for those who have seen the original.”
The film will keep the audience glued to the seats and it is set to premiere on the OTT platform in mid-2021. “It has been made as a typical Abbas-Mustan entertainer that keeps the audiences in the dark until the very end. The film is now in the post-production stage and will premiere on Netflix towards mid-this year,” added the source.
